Widget Alert

This (beta) widget allows you to leave your Netvibes page open in your browser & get an alert when one of your feeds has a new item. The main need for this arose from wanting to know when I had new email.. but it can check any feed that's on your page. You'll need to inline the widget (edit it's settings to do this) before it'll do anything. This is because it needs to be able to check the unread count on the other widgets on your page.

Debug Feed into Firebug widget

Output the contents of the RSS feed you specify via Firebug. Useful for developers to see what Netvibes is proxying back into your app.

Multi-Image Display widget

Display multiple images from an RSS feed where images are URLs in the item.content node (or where you specify in the widget preferences). Images can be displayed neatly in columns (number of your choosing) and will resize to the width of the widget. If you need to tinker with a 3rd party RSS feed such as one from Picasa Web Albums then I'd recommend you use Yahoo Pipes. This can help you get the image URL (only) into the node you specify in the preferences, e.g. item.content ..or maybe.. item.enclosures\[0\].url Picasa seems to generate Atom-based feeds (not RSS2) and I've found that the images are in a node that I can't work out. Get around this problem by using a Yahoo Pipe I've published. Single Image Display widget

Display a single image from the content section of the first item in an RSS feed. Useful for feeds like LOLCats. Use a feed mangler like Yahoo Pipes to get the image URL (only) into the node you specify in the preferences, e.g. item.content ..or maybe.. item.enclosures\[0\].url The image will be resized to the width of the gadget.
